Detained for 8 months for Driving without a license, let Mohammed Go!

Do you remember Mohammed Sooknanan’s case? Despite no criminal record Judge Rex Ford has denied his bond and ICE has also refused to let him go.

ICE: Let Mohammed Go - Pending Marriage Application

This is another clear case of the system abusing its power; Mohammed is clearly eligible for discretion. He is married to a United States citizen who has filed a petition for him; he’s never been charged with anything other than driving without a license.

[Name] can you take a minute to make a call and help us get Mohammed released?

He has a pending marriage petition, why is he still detained?”

Thank you for your support. Mohammed is losing hope and thinking of telling his deportation officer to just deport him. We need to make sure ICE doesn’t get away with this.

Thank you,
