Thanks to your help and others just like you we were able to meet our goal of 100 calls to Senator Nelson yesterday. That’s why we think today’s goal will be easy; can you help us get 150 calls into Senator Nelson’s office?

“Hi, I was calling to ask that Senator Nelson take a stand for Samuel Soto and ask that ICE stop his deportation. Yes Samuel was deported once before but this does not make him in-eligible for discretion. Why won’t the Senator write a letter of support? Has the Senator called John Morton or Janet Napolitano directly?”

By the end of our 100 calls yesterday the office staff had a set script they were telling everyone: “Senator Nelson is working with the proper authorities.” Yet when we ask them does this mean the Senator supports the family they weren’t able to give a simple yes. When you call make sure you hold the Senator’s office accountable to this; “Does the Senator support Samuel Soto? Yes or no?”
