Reports are coming in of today’s peaceful march of several thousand occupiers being brutalized, arrested and kettled in preparation for mass arrests.

Several arrests were mentioned throughout the afternoon as the march wound through Manhattan on its way to Union Square. NYPD is now believed to be encircling occupiers there with nets and crowd control forces. Bloodied occupiers were reported and heavy-handed police tactics are being used to corral the occupiers into mass arrests.

The occupier managing the Livestream equipment was reportedly arrested just a few minutes ago, and the broadcast is being switched to backup equipment.

There are fears that police may soon move on the encampment at Liberty Plaza, with a note handed out this morning ‘prohibiting’ sleeping in the park areas.
